Tales of the Trail (part 5)

2011 May 24

As Lily combed Tilia’s hair one morning, Tilia said, “How come mother never really smiles at me?”

“What?" How do you mean?”

“Well, when I play with the kids in the courtyard, their mothers all sort of… I don’t know… smile a lot”

“Well your mother is a queen, and she is very busy. I know she loves you very much Tilia, now sit still so I can get these tangles out!”

“Tell me about mom, will you?” asked Rufus.

“Again?” asked his uncle Felix.

“I like the way you talk abut her.”

“Well, let’s see… she was a proud, proud woman. Tall, with long flowing brown hair. She took nothing from no one. Stood up for what she believed in, that woman… “ Felix paused and thought some more. “We were proud to call her a Peregrine. You remind me a lot of her, honestly. Only seventeen and already a better man than that king of ours.”

… until next time/shelter …

No offense, but I would love to read an entry about the trail. :)

Hey no problem! :) We just haven’t had good access to computers and anything really interesting to write in a while, and these were all scheduled out already. Looks like we will have some time to write over the next few days, so we’ll whip some stuff together for you…
